When I started out as an entrepreneur, I only had a few followers on Instagram…probably like most of you! By using this quick tip I’m going to teach you today, along with other social media strategies, I’ve grown my following to over 40k followers! Keep reading to figure out how to do the same for your profiles!
Here’s how this works: all you have to do is look for ways to shoutout/tag other accounts on your Instagram stories. I know this seems simple, but let me give you the low down. So, how are you going to do this? Well, you’re going to think about the industry that you’re in and what type of content you’re posting. Then, you’re going to find related influencers/companies/brands of which you use their products/services and tag them in your stories. The goal with doing this is that the influencer/company/brand will see your shoutout and post it to their stories – now their entire audience was exposed to you. I get many people who join my challenges, follow me on social media, listen to my podcasts, etc that hear about me through someone else’s social media stories.
Any brand that you use and can incorporate into your daily stories, do it! For example, if you’re a health and wellness coach and you do a Peloton™ ride everyday – tag the trainer in hopes that they’ll share it! Get really creative and ask yourself what brands and/or influencers you can tag in your stories. The bigger the following, the better! Shoot for the stars!;) But, make sure that the person you tag compliments your brand. You could also shoot the influencer a DM and ask to do a shoutout for shoutout. What that entails is: you shout out their account and ask that they shout out your brand/business at a similar time to help increase followers.
Another quick tip that I have for you is to share your most recent feed posts to your stories as well. By doing that, you will drive traffic to your feed. This is a great tip for expanding your growth, your audience, and getting you in front of more people in your niche. Get to crushing it on Instagram, Goal Diggers!
