Find Your Space
First, you must be solid with your niche. Define your target audience and the people that you want to connect with the most online. Understanding your avatar will help you create messages that are designed to connect with those that are in your space.
However you show up on social media, think about who is on the other side viewing and absorbing your content. Find your people and have a clear understanding of who they are. Get clear on your niche and you will quickly learn the content that performs well, and what doesn’t.
Bring Value to the Table
Add value wherever you can. It can be easy to get lost in deciding what type of content to share. Think of ways to improve the lives of your avatar. How can you inspire, connect, engage, and entertain your followers?
Instead of pitching your products, talk about different topics that are interesting and informative for your friends online. Once they understand and interact with your brand, they will stop the scroll to see what you are sharing next. It’s all subconscious but think about the type of content that your followers will look forward to. Stop trying to sell or pitch, think about ways to offer value within your posts.
Create Curiosity
Create curiosity around your brand! When you balance your content between indirect and direct posts, you can create a neutral space and understand more of what your followers respond with. Engage with your followers by asking questions, taking polls, or gaging the general interest, but don’t explicitly explain the business or products.
Don’t Forget to Track
Track with Trello! You must have a system for connecting with people and followers. Plan out your content in advance and make sure to be consistent with follow-ups and chatting with new people. Get organized with your leads and it will only get smoother as you continue to grow in your business.
Always Follow Up!
Follow up like a BOSS! Have a reason to follow up—don’t do it just to do it. Find a connection piece, be organized, and follow up like a boss. Did you know? You could increase your leads 33% just by following up with new people.
