So you’re getting ready to launch your new biz? New course? Coaching service?! Well, whatever it is, you’re going to need to know how to build a proper and consistent personal brand. That’s what I’m here for!
In today’s blog, I’m going to teach you my 5 part personal branding playbook that will help transform and scale your business!
Let’s dive in!
My 5 Part Personal Branding Playbook
1. Identify who you are.
This may sound like an easy task but this is where I notice many of my students get stuck.
How do you want to present yourself to your clients or customers? Before you can come up with any tangible assets of your brand, you need to understand who you are and how you want to show up online.
For example, I am all about embracing femininity and owning my girl power. That comes out in all of the content I produce and my students can identify that part of me in everything I teach.
What is the feel, look, vibe of your brand?
2. Who do you want to serve?
If you’re not clear on who you’re going to serve, how are you going to create your content? Think specifically about who you are going to serve and come up with an ideal avatar.
When you come up with your ideal avatar, you need to get as specific as you can go. Is it a male or a female? Identify their hobbies. Know what they do for a living. Understand what their family is like. What kind of lifestyle do they live? What are their pain points?
The more specific you get, the easier it will be to identify if they are a qualified lead for you to work with.
3. What do you offer?
A lot of times people think about what they have to sell, not what they have to offer. When you stop trying to sell, you’re going to sell more. Sounds weird, I know.
We want to learn to serve, not sell. The reason you want to pause and ask yourself what solution you’re going to solve is because you can work backwards and build out your content to lead your audience to the solution.
If you don’t have that roadmap figured out, your audience is going to be very confused.
4. What is the specific value you’re going to offer?
For example, if you’re helping women get their finances together, you’re going to offer ways to get out of debt, share how to refinance loans, explain how to start a savings fund, etc. Develop your 5 personal branding buckets to establish what you’re going to post and what value you’ll provide.
Next, get them into your email list, text marketing, Facebook community, all of the things to show you’re paying attention to them. This will also be useful to inform them of your new value-based content.
People need predictability. Create a roadmap for your new lead or follower – what is the journey you want them to go through when getting into your community? Get them into your email list, text marketing, Facebook community, all the things so you’re able to nurture them.
5. Nurture your people.
People need time to trust you. Stop trying to make money overnight, it’s not going to happen. And if it does, it’s not sustainable. While you’re building your business out, make sure you’re staying top of mind. Be consistent, show up, and focus on value.
These 5 tips will give you a headstart in the competition if you follow them carefully and are intentional about building a sustainable brand. You’ve got this, Goal Digger!
