Five Simple Steps to Revive Your Facebook Group Today!

I have built over $1 million in business with mainly the power of Facebook groups.  When I began, my Facebook group had about 100 people, now it is well over 20,000! Let’s dive in and talk essentials to reviving that group!

First. STOP pitching. STOP selling, as much as you are.  If your group is a “customer” type group, people don’t want to be sold.  Your members are in so many different groups, it needs to be different.  Your goal is to add value.  Think “non-salesy”.  Whatever industry you are in there is a value you can add and make lives better! Plan out content in a way that is offering value.

You must use original content. Facebook is about NOW.  If you post in a group something that has been posted a million times, the algorithm can tell. Facebook wants original content, stuff that you yourself have created!

Create a welcome video or post.  Members do not know what to do when they get into a group. Use your cover banner to direct members. For example, tell them on the banner to turn notifications to all and then to welcome themselves in the pinned post.  Once approved tag them in your welcome post asking them to introduce themselves.  Message them and thank them for joining your group and ask them to share a bit about themselves. For a very cool hack to easily welcome new members on a regular basis, check out my video below. You must be the one to direct them!

Do fun stuff!  If your group is boring, they won’t open the notifications that you have posted. Do challenges, giveaways, contests, and raffles.  Make it exciting, create engagement!

Value, value, value. I said it before, and I will say it again!  If you are not providing enough value, people won’t stay or check out your new content. You want your content to be so valuable that when they get the notification, they go right to find out what you had to share today!  They don’t want to miss a thing.

Remember, your job is to educate, inspire, and connect!

That is why people come to Facebook, they come to be social and feel better.

One more thing.  When you create your group questions for approval of new members ask these two questions.  What do you need the most help with? (Now you know how to build your content.)  And, how did you hear about this group?

Be consistent! Be persistent! Don’t give up!
