Taprooting (aka Leapfrogging) is basically where you reach down into your downline and connect with, coach and mentor those on your teach in addition to your direct reports. For most people, they have fallen accidentally into leadership by joining their network marketing company so understanding this is super important for long term success.
Having clear communication with their upline is important but you have every right to work with anyone on your team. A great practice is to send a direct message or text to anyone new that joins your team to say hello and introduce yourself. In addition, pull up your back office reports and check your team’s numbers every day. I’ve ran into plenty of people who don’t do this at all, and it blows my mind. If you were running a brick and mortar boutique, you would check the incoming sales for the day, every single day. Why would this be any different?
