Having a tribe, your audience, is the name of the game. Don’t have the results you want in your business? Whether its number of team members, people in your Facebook group or the ultimate income that you want, it always stems to the number of people that you are talking to!
When creating your weekly content, it is so important to stop and ask these three questions: Where is my tribe going to be? Where am I going to find them? And where are they going to find me?
So, your job is to figure out how to get in front of that tribe of people and then pull them to you. The best way to do that is with a weekly content strategy. Remember choosing ONE platform to start with and get good at. Whether it is Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, blogging, or YouTube videos. Choose one. If you try to start with too many at once, you will be overwhelmed and won’t do anything effective and end up scratching your head wondering where your people are. Once you have chosen that one platform its’ time to get to work!
Homework #1 – What do you enjoy the most? Do you like doing live videos? Podcasts? Or writing? What form of content are you going to use to reach your tribe? Choose one and get good at that one. Once you have mastered one, such as live videos, then you can move on to Podcasts or writing.
Homework #2 – What kind of content are you going to deliver? You must have a theme, be known for something. You may need to try different types of content; it may be trial and error. Take a poll and ask your current audience, or friends and family. Ask them, when they think of you, what do they think of? What do they come to you for? What have they learned from you? You can also look at past jobs you have had, things you have learned, books you are reading. What do you spend a lot of time doing? What do you have a lot of knowledge on? And of course, what could you talk about forever? Choose something that you love and lights you up!
Homework #3 – You must be consistent. Content is queen, figuring out what you are going to talk about is particularly important. But consistency is KING! I would rather see you fumble your way through versus trying to get this perfect and holding off because you don’t feel you are “ready” yet. Don’t think you have to wait to put out content until everything is ready. That is when you just sit and think and don’t do anything. THAT eats you up and then you don’t feel in alignment with your goals. Which makes you back pedal and spin your wheels. Don’t wait for the starts to align, jump in, and fail forward!
I want you to take massive IMPERFECT ACTION! Until next time!
