There is a new social media app that has hit the market! As of now, it’s an invite-only social media platform that is entirely audio-based. If you can’t seem to get yourself to go Live or get in front of a camera, this app is a great option for you!
Let’s get started on Clubhouse! It is a great place to increase your visibility and build value for your business on a new platform. There is currently a waiting list for new users to be invited. If you haven’t been invited, you can still sign up on the account and reserve your handle.
As a user, you are able to host a public room on the app. These rooms can vary in topics and any users on the app are able to host and join. The algorithm wants users to be active and engaging in other rooms while hosting chats of their own. Encourage participation and get chatting with others. You can also earn more app invitations by hosting rooms!
Once you get approved to be on the app, start by setting up your profile. Add your brand recognition such as your headshot and bio to your account. There is space to add other social media platforms to sync. As of now, there is no option for direct messaging so it’s important to be able to take an existing conversation and continue it on another app.
To start a room, select several users to add and set a topic for the room. When you create a room, you can invite your friends, but make it public so additional users can join in. When you are hosting a room, it will grab the first person who joins in and they are chosen as a speaker for the room. Through the app, you can quickly change out who is a speaker or an audience member. As a host, you are free to move users however you see fit.
In order to contribute, you have to click the hand icon to request to speak. The moderator will allow you to speak and then you are able to share your thoughts! The microphone icon will allow you to mute and unmute yourself. The plus icon will allow you to invite other friends to the room. You can also choose to let visitors in to allow for more people to get access to your room.
When the app asks about your interests, it will suggest rooms and events to join based on your choices. The app also hosts clubs, which is similar to a Facebook group. This is a great space for collaboration and taking your relationships one step further on the app. You must create several rooms in order to start your own club on the app. The clubs that you join will be publicly shared on your profile. So choose wisely;)!
Consider connecting with people in your circle to be your co-hosts for different meetings. Start hosting your own events and watch how your network will grow!
This app is focused on sharing different success stories and secrets. You can quickly connect with influencers and start quick conversations with other professionals. It’s great for collaboration and connecting with new professionals in your circle. Identify more individuals that fit your avatar and connect with them based on shared interests.
