Every network marketer has a different comfort level with attracting new customers. It can seem overwhelming to upsell customers into the business side but with a few strategic steps put into place, you can find success with growing more customers into business builders. Once you’re able to get this down, you’ll be able to bring it up easier to your customers.
Think about your customer to business builder ratio. If you bring on x amount of customers, how many business builders will you connect with? Take some time to dig into your customer base and understand how to turn your consumers to business leaders.
There are three power moves to take to upsell customers to grow into business builders. The first move is to encourage your customers to create a referral post on their social media channels. Once a month, consider asking your customers or current prospects if they’d like to participate in a giveaway and in order to win, they have to share a social media post. Before the giveaway kicks off, be sure to reach out and share the deets with your prospects and customers. Once they start getting comments and engagement, make sure you are the one replying and connecting on their post. This will allow your customer to decide if they want to upgrade and receive commission for sharing the product info. Give the customer the option before you start connecting with those who have left comments.
The next big idea is to ask your customers to host an online event! Keep the concept simple. Let your customer know that you will take care of all of it and make it as smooth as possible for them. Think of how you can create your own model to reach out and connect with your customers and find incentives to make the customer more comfortable. Once you have a customer that agrees to host an online event and before you reach out to customers, ask your event host if they want to explore the business side of things and see how they can potentially take a host party and launch from there.
The third step is to implement the direct ask. Get comfortable directly asking your customers to explore the business. Don’t assume that they aren’t interested. Be courageous and make the jump to ask your customers to consider the business side of the company. Be lax and laid-back, don’t be aggressive, but let your customer know that there is a growth opportunity for them considering they are already a fan of the products. This opens the door to new opportunities and being able to warm up your customer to the thought of joining your team. This allows the customer to have enough time to make a decision, ask questions, and think on it before making the jump. This is how you can take a cold market and warm it up by introducing the idea of what you do for a living.
You’ve got this! Have the confidence and posture to take the leap to connect with more business builders and grow your team.
