Are you new to starting a Facebook group? Do you know what content to post in there? Do you know how often you should post? Well, today I’m going to share a few strategies that helped boost my engagement and put me on the right track to run value-driven Facebook groups.
The biggest question I get from entrepreneurs when they start their Facebook groups is, what type of content should I be putting up? I’ve been using three secret strategies since I started as an entrepreneur and they have helped my groups blow up and go viral. In order to connect with your members and create exciting content, you need to know what you’re developing your content around. Your Facebook groups should be value-driven and structured around the pain points of the consumers. You don’t want it to be full of your business and products because if they see you reaching out one-on-one, they’re going to think you just want something from them. Your Facebook groups will be successful if you use them to nurture leads and build your know-like-trust factor.
When it comes to discovering the pain points of your members, ask them open-ended questions so you can learn more about them. For example, I love the question, “when it comes to your business, what is your biggest struggle?” This allows your members to share their insecurities about their business and it gives you an opportunity to create valuable content specifically for them. Once you understand their pain points, you can offer solutions. Another great way to present curiosity posts is through Instagram stories. Instagram offers a quiz feature that allows you to ask a question and viewers can respond with their answers that are sent directly to your DMs.
Another strategy to boost engagement and create a value-driven Facebook group is to spend lots of time in messenger getting to know your members. Message and friend request everyone in your group to cultivate one-on-one relationships with them. In your message, you should be asking questions to understand their pain points: what area of business are you in? What do you need help with? What are your insecurities? This will give you a chance to provide them with valuable resources that can help their business. Then, your next Facebook live can be about their struggles and how to help.
If people are not telling you their pain points, you’re either not asking enough questions or not coming off as genuine. However, the ones that are willing to respond are representing those who are not. It’s so important to get feedback from your members. Make sure you’re putting up genuine content on your wall every day. Show up every day, post every day, welcome your new members, go live, post inspirational content, and I have no doubt your Facebook groups will be flourishing!
