Stop Selling & Start Serving

It’s time to talk about what you need to do to actually get more sales and make impacts on your customers lives. If for whatever reason, you are unable to convert the people that you’re connecting with on social media, read further and start to understand why that may be happening!

I’m going to provide you with a couple of tools today that will get you thinking about why you may be struggling with closing sales. First, you need to shift your mentality of closing people to a mentality of serving them. So, what does that look like? Well, first, stop expecting to get leads when all you are posting on social media is about your product and sales. That, to other people, seems that you are coming off desperate. Let go of that intention to close people instantly and begin thinking, “how can I make others lives better?”

So, what does that look like for you? You need to have a perfect vision of who your audience is. If you don’t know your avatar, then you are not going to know what type of content to create. Once you have a clear understanding of your buyer persona, start to feel for what their pain points and struggles are. It is your job to make their lives easier, you can do that by serving and helping others get what they need – start with service. I want you to take some time this week to sit down and make a list; write down what your audience’s struggles are and come up with ways that you are able to serve them with your product or service.

When you think of your sales funnel, what exactly comes to mind? This is key to understanding and closing prospects. I see a lot of people struggling with coming up with a sales funnel. A sales funnel is the journey that a  prospect has with a seller before the prospect purchases from them. A good example of a sales funnel is: someone leaves a comment on your Facebook post, you private message them and ask an intentional question, they respond, and you invite them to your Facebook group. This is the journey they took with you to, eventually, give you a sale. So, think of what your process is and how you can offer value in your Facebook groups to make their lives better.

Lastly, think about your visibility. Where are you posting? Who is seeing it? Is anyone new commenting, liking, sharing your content? All of these questions need to be addressed when you are thinking about how you can expand your audience and get in front of new people. What this looks like for you is, creating new content every single day. If you are missing days, then you’re lacking commitment. Stop telling yourself the same story that you’re “busy” or “too tired” because there are ways to work around that and it needs to happen to grow your business. To build your audience, you need to provide them with something and that is valuable content.

When you focus every day, new people will come to find your content and you will be so glad that you put in the hard work when you did!
