Posture Up and Prospect Like A Pro

If you are really serious about staying consistent and building your biz like a pro, this blog post is for you! This is absolutely an area of focus for you and something you need to work on to build your confidence and increase your results online. We’re talking about posturing up and prospecting like a pro. 

If you’re not getting the results that you want in your business, especially when it comes to attracting business builders and rockstars, then it’s most likely your posture. What do you think of when you think of posture in business terms? Maybe it’s how you carry yourself online, maybe it’s the professionalism on your profile, it could be a load of things and, chances are, they’re probably all right! Posture is the confidence that you exude when you’re online and in communication with people on social media. If you’re not getting customers, not recruiting at all, and not getting clients in your coaching business…that’s all because of your online posture. Remember, like attracts like. If we’re not feeling so confident, it will show up in the way that we’re communicating. 

A good way to remember what posture means in your business is to think of a physical VS. virtual example. A physical example would be the way you carry yourself; are your shoulders pushed back? Is your chin up? Are you looking at the ground or are your eyes straight forward? Whereas, a virtual example would be; how are you talking to people online? Are you being consistent? Are you being educational? 

Here are three things to implement when it comes to leveling up your posture. 

  1. Level up your online presence. 

What is the vibe of your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc. personal profiles? When people visit, what energy do they feel? What do you post? Are you sharing educational, inspirational, entertaining content? Or are you sharing political, unorganized, inconsistent content? Think about how you want to be served online and figure out how to make your followers and connections feel that way. If you’ve got some work to do, that’s the conversation that you need to be having with yourself to get a plan into place. 

  1. Level up your prospecting. 

If you are at the top of your company, how would you talk to people that are trying to join your team? You wouldn’t just take anyone onto your team. You’d find the best prospects so that you can stay successful. 

  1. Level up your consistency. 

The stop-and-go method is not working for any of you and it’s bad online posture. Being inconsistent is not reliable and it does not make people want to do business with you. Be the kind of person that people want to work with. You need to think to yourself: have you always been inconsistent and stop-and-go? If so, you need to make a commitment to yourself to be done with stopping and going and, instead, being reliable and trustworthy. If you say you’re going to do something, like get someone a resource, you need to do it. When you level up your consistency, the byproduct is that you are reliable. Your confidence will grow while you’re being consistent and you may not even realize it right away, but eventually, you will.
