5 Powerful Tips to Kickstart or Reboot Your Online Business Using INSTAGRAM
If you follow the tactics I’m teaching today, this could seriously transform your business.
1. Make sure your profile is eye-catching.
Instagram is a very competitive place to be. You need to make sure that you are optimizing all of Instagram’s features to give yourself credibility and build a strong brand identity.
When people come to your profile, make sure that you have a high-resolution profile photo. Remember that most people are mobile-users so it can’t be blurry or have too much white space.
Your bio needs to include your job title, how you serve others, a relevant lead magnet, and a call-to-action. All of these will answer the ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘why’, and ‘how’ of your business up front so the lead isn’t left for guessing.
Lastly, you should make sure you have a cohesive grid. The grid is the flat layout of all of your images. You should have consistent themes you post about as well as brand fonts, colors, and logos. If you’re posting static images, try using a filter!
If you get your profile where it needs to be, you will have people reaching out to YOU!
2. You need to ‘stop the scroll’ with your content.
Think of some creative ways to get people to stop scrolling and get interested in your content. For example, post a picture of yourself with a big expression on your face and make the text about a crazy story that happened to you recently.
You should always have 3 areas of content in mind. You decide what they are based on your niche. For example, it could be health/wellness, entrepreneurship, and family. Whatever you relate to most!
Remember to maintain a consistent brand identity! A confused mind does nothing. If you have a confusing profile or content, people are just going to move on. But if they can see who you are and what you offer, they will be drawn to you.
3. Make sure your stories are engaging and exciting.
Your stories should be captivating. Make them animated, use selfies, and be sure to work in your personal branding buckets.
When you are consistent with your stories, people will continue watching them. After consistently posting for a few weeks, your stories will be shown at the front of everyone else’s stories!
Try using apps like InStories, StoryChic, and Canva!
4. Master the use of hashtags.
If you have a creator account on Instagram, you can see a variety of analytics that reflect how your posts, reels, and video content are doing. If you’re using relevant hashtags, your content will be shown when people are searching for certain topics.
When you use hashtags that are popular amongst your niche, you will get put in front of new audience members. That’s the power of building a new market on Instagram!
I am always getting more views on my Instagram Reels when I use relevant hashtags.
5. Fill up your feed with your avatar.
Think about who your ideal avatar is and fill up your whole follow list with people who fit that description. You should proactively be following people who are your ideal avatar every day.
If you’re not clear on who your ideal avatar is then you’re probably blindly posting on social and are not seeing success. It’s time to get really clear on who you’re serving!
Bonus Tip: You have to be doing Instagram Reels.
Video content is dominating all social platforms. Instagram recently announced that they are moving to a predominantly video content social media channel, meaning video content takes priority over static images.
If you want to get in front of new people and build your market on Instagram, you need to learn to evolve with the times.
Get out there and make it happen! Get clear on who you want to work with. Figure out how you can serve them. And implement these tactics!
