Have you ever hosted an online event to sell your products, or recruit new people to your team?
In today’s blog, we’re going to talk about why multi-hosting online events can change your business.
When it comes to online events, you may be thinking, “Kimberly, they’re dead. No one’s doing them.” But let me tell you, you’re missing the mark! You can actually automate the entire process and leverage people’s time, leverage social media, and allow your people to plug into amazing events.
The Back Story
Back in December 2018, I was stuck in my business. I actually had a girl quit. We had some stuff going on in the company, and she just didn’t want anything to do with it. She was half of my volume. I was looking to rebuild and thought, “What if I got into online events?” I started looking into them and I didn’t love what I was seeing out there. So, I came up with a 15-minute Facebook party. Now it’s my number one selling workshop. We’ve had over a thousand people go through it. It’s incredible. I’ve been using this for years and years, and I’ve actually been able to automate the process. Whenever people on my team or customers are going to host for me, it’s automated. All the posts are scheduled, and I have an amazing virtual assistant who handles all of the commenting.
What Is Multi-Hosting and How Does It Work?
Multi-hosting is when you have multiple hosts for an event at the same time. The way we do it is we have a set number of times per month – one day per week, and we let people know this is the date and time of the event.
If you would like to participate yourself, or have a customer, even a prospect, be a hostess, we have a group chat for that. And then people can book for the dates they want. From there we add them to a popup Facebook group. We do all of the posting and promotion for it. I go live in the group with a pre-recorded video. And then I handle the prizes and the giveaways. So, with multi-hosting, now we’ve got multiple people. The most we’ve done is about 10 hosts. You definitely want at least three, but ideally five to seven.
One of the reasons multi-hosting online events works so well is because, with multiple people inviting to the event, you’re going to have someone who’s hosting is not the best. They just don’t invite people, or they don’t get it. It’s super lame. There’s no energy. Well…we don’t want that. We don’t want to waste anyone’s time. And we don’t want that person to feel like they failed. With multi-hosting, if you have one or two people who aren’t great at inviting, but you’ve got two to five people who are good or great, then suddenly you’ve got 100+ people in your group AND social proof that others are inviting.
You also need to make sure to set up the event, which you can find in my workshop. Creating the event allows everyone to know when you are going to go live in the group. There are two posts that drop the day before (NON-SELLING posts), two the day of, and then you go live.
You can definitely try this method by yourself, but eventually the goal is to automate it and delegate! That’s the power of growing your business and getting to a point where you’re working with your leaders. You’re coming up with creative ideas for challenges. That’s where you get to spend your time. It really brings the joy back into your business because you can focus on the things that you really love.
Multi-Hosting Online Events Is a Game-Changer
This method is going to CHANGE your life. You’ll learn how to do this, and then teach your team members. They invite people to a fun online event where there’s a giveaway or raffle of products. It’s 15-minutes – it’s short and sweet. They get to talk about how much they love the products, the company, and why it’s the best. They talk about their hero products, and then how attendees can enter into the raffle, participate in the giveaway, and get some kind of incentive for purchasing.
My company is not a party company. We don’t promote parties, and we’re one of the only teams doing online events. But I’ve seen people who are new, be able to hit one to two rank advancements BEFORE their products come in the mail, with this model. You can get brand new people rocking and rolling with this method. It works for any industry, and any product. There’s always a good time of year to be hosting online events.
