If any of you could choose a word for 2022, or even last year, to be successful in your business, what would it be? I’m actually going to share something with you that I wasn’t planning on sharing, but I feel like you need to hear it. Some of you right now are struggling in your business. You’re getting frustrated. It’s March and you’re wondering, where’s my money. Right? If you’re feeling that way and don’t have the results you want in your business, listen closely. It’s you that’s holding you back from being successful, but you can actually learn how to get out of your own way. What to know about how to become a true Goal Digger? Then this blog is for you!
What is your biggest struggle?
What is the biggest struggle you have right now in your life? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Is there too much on your plate? Or maybe you’re struggling financially, and you’re trying to create wealth and abundance in your life. I’m going to share some valuable content with you. I am going to read something from my journal that I wrote. I encourage you all to start journaling. We have a Goal Digger journal that you can get. I want you to pull your journals out, and I want you to read through them. Now, why is this important? We overestimate what we can do in a year. But we underestimate what we can do in a decade.
Too many of you are setting all of these goals, but there’s no plan to do it. Then you’re wondering why you’re not accomplishing anything. You need to realize that this is a long game. It’s totally shifting your dynamics at home, your financial situation, or who you are to create the life that you want. It’s a process. 10 years ago, I wrote this down, and I had different areas of my life. One of them is my career. I was a training director at a corporate company. I loved it. It was one of my favorite things I’ve ever done in my whole life. I wanted to get my base salary to 70,000 and bonuses. That’s what I wanted for my corporate job. To put it in perspective, our company brought in almost a hundred thousand dollars in one day. So why am I sharing that with you?
The big dream.
Because 10 years ago, the big dream was to get to a $70,000 salary. That was my big dream. If I had known what the next 10 years would look like, I would’ve had a little more joyful expectation. I also got to be in all major TV networks such as Chicago, Dallas, or even Dr. Oz. I did TV in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. I think about my reach now, and that’s just like glamor being on TV. Think about how many people I’m reaching now on social media. Think about the impact. And I’m sharing this about me, but I want you to think about YOU. What are your next 10 years going to look like?
It’s all about scaling.
I had a side business, and it was called Fit Kim. I just launched the year before and I said I would generate $500 a month from Fit Kim. My big goal was to get my side hustle to $500 a month. If you’re making $500 a month right now or a thousand, remember this, if you can make a thousand right now, you can earn $10,000. You just have to learn how to scale. My strength is scaling. That’s how we went from $250,000 to $1.1 million in one year. Then last year, we did $2.7 million, and that’s all due to scaling. It took the same amount of effort out of me but with more revenue. You can have the same thing happen in your business as well. I was able to complete two PhDs, be on the Board of Directors for Elephant Sisters, write for a column in an Austin magazine, and so much more. And we have so many things happen behind the scenes, it’s insane!
I think we get so caught up in the day-to-day that we don’t realize we are growing. We are evolving, becoming the next best version of ourselves. But all of this takes time. You plant the seed, and all the magical things happen beneath the surface. You have to get out of your own way and let yourself grow.
It’s time to get out of your own way, Goal Diggers!
