How to Plan a Week’s Worth of Content in Minutes!

How to Plan a Week's Worth of Content in Minutes!

Let’s talk about content creation! This is something many people get hung up on, whether it’s telling yourself you aren’t sure what to post or that you have nothing to talk about. So I will share some tips from Team Goal Digger Coach Leigh Ann Chiari’s playbook. She knows how to overcome the struggle of where to begin and how you can make a week’s worth of content in a matter of a few minutes per day!

Here at Goal Digger headquarters, we teach about having five branding buckets that you want to create to pull content from each week. Those buckets are personal, industry, entrepreneurial, inspiration, and hobbies.

The personal bucket would hold content about your family, lifestyle, pets, etc.

The industry bucket would be your niche, such as health and wellness, beauty, finance, etc.

In the entrepreneurial bucket, you would pull content that deals with your entrepreneurial life. What leadership books do you like to read? What podcasts do you like to listen to? This will give your audience a sneak peek of what your entrepreneurial life looks like.

As entrepreneurs, we’re inspirational. We want to help motivate and inspire others. Your inspirational bucket will hold quotes, affirmations, empowering stories, etc., to push your audience.

The last bucket will be your hobbies bucket. This will be your collection of all the things you like to do. For example, if you’re a runner or collect items, those are things you could post about.

Each week you are going to want to pull from those buckets.

Now let’s talk about how you can make multiple pieces of content from ONE piece of content. That one piece of content we will call your hero content. To find your hero content, you will pick from one of those five buckets, create a topic, and that is going to be your hero content. You can also think about that hero content being the live video you’ll be doing that week. Yes, you should be doing a live video each and every week!

Now from that hero content, we’re going to filter it into four different types of posts. Those posts you are going to want to do are inspire, educate, entertain, and engage. For example, Leigh Ann’s industry bucket is health and wellness. The topic she chose for her Facebook live or Instagram live that she is going to do for a particular week is going to be Ten Ways to Lose Belly Fat Quickly. That is her hero content for the week.

She is going to start thinking of those four filters for her posts. For inspiration, she could do health or fitness quotes to motivate her audience. The education piece would need to relate back to the hero content, so it could be what causes belly fat to stick. Her entertainment post could be funny, such as a health and wellness meme. Finally, her engagement post could simply be asking a question because she’s trying to get engagement from her audience.

So, after all that, what do we have? We have our hero piece of content: our Facebook live or Instagram live; then, we derive our four posts from our four filters. Already, Leigh Ann would have five pieces of content for the week, sprinkling in something personal about her family, lifestyle, pets, etc. She could also do a curiosity post about her business, or pick from one of the other buckets. Now she has SEVEN pieces of content!

All of that literally takes a few minutes to do and I know y’all can fit that in your schedule. On Sundays, schedule in a couple of minutes to plan out your content and it will make your life so much better. That just helps simplify the process so that you’re not just hanging out thinking about what you are going to post for a day. There is plenty to talk about. You just have to have a system to put it all in place.

Time to start planning, Goal Diggers!
