When it comes to productivity and organization, using tools like Trello is the absolute KEY. Trello is great for planning out projects, social posts, organizing tasks, and so much more. And the best part is, you can sign up for FREE! The one important thing you are going to want to do is to sync your calendar to make sure all your events stay top of mind.
Integrate Trello with Your Calendar
One of the things I’ve noticed is that when people attempt to start planning, they will get it going, and then they just sort of stop doing it. In order to make it work for you, it has to get on your calendar. When we get things on our calendar, we know it’s going to happen. If you have a VA or team members, you can include them in the event. If it’s an appointment on your calendar, it’s going to stay top of mind and you are going to see it.
For example, you create a card for Facebook lives and challenges. How this will work is, whatever you put for the title, that is going to show up on your calendar. You’re going to dictate the date inside of the card with a due date. Keep in mind, if this was on your calendar, what would you want it to read so you know what it is? So let’s say, you go live at 1pm CT every Monday on your business page. When you see that on your calendar, it should say what you need to be reminded of. For me, I make sure I have a topic in there and whatever else I need to tell myself. When you click the event on your calendar, it’s going to open up the Trello card. You could even put your notes in there, I mean the sky’s the limit.
Collaborate through Trello
Imagine you have something collaborative you’re doing, whether it’s working with your team to launch a challenge, or maybe you’re working with a VA – you can put the checklist together in Trello. You can have who’s involved and important attachments on the Trello card.
Once you have Trello set up the way you need it to be, it is going to save you so much time. You have to stop going around and looking for things. All of your information needs to be in one place, and the ability to have your applications communicate with each other, especially when you start bringing other people into the mix. In order to speed up, you need to slow down to put the systems in place. If you were sick, could you hand over your business to your team or a VA to keep it up and running? If not, then you’ve got some work to do!
