How to Stop the Overwhelm with ONE Simple Strategy

How to Stop the Overwhelm with ONE Simple Strategy

Are you ready to get back on track and crush your goals?!

Goal Digger Coach Alicia has the ultimate tips on how you can OVERCOME the overwhelm. Taking responsibility, setting boundaries, and defining your priorities are KEY when it comes to being successful in your business. This has been her go-to strategy for the past three years that’s kept her on track and crushing her goals.

We know here in the Goal Digger world that we don’t really like to use that O word “overwhelmed,” but in reality, we know it’s going on. It is something we hear quite often. But once you get the right factors in place, you can easily get your life under control and overcome the overwhelm. Everyone here at Goal Digger is just like you. We are moms and entrepreneurs juggling multiple priorities, etc. If we can organize our lives, you can too! Here is what you need to know on how to overcome the overwhelm!

Take responsibility!

You have to stop and realize that you are the only one to put too much on your plate. We can get caught up in the pressure of it all and want to place blame for our challenges, but stop! You have the ability to say no and put your priorities first. If you are starting to feel overwhelmed, take a deep breath and recognize what you put on your plate. You will open so many doors to be able to move forward to the success you see.

Reprioritize.

What are your non-negotiables? What are the things you just cannot do without?  This is the time to zone in, cut out the distractions, and focus on what you need to do. Is it scaling your business, contacting people on messenger, growing your team, etc.? Figure out those non-negotiables that are going to make your business grow!

Turn your to-do list into your will-do list.

There is power in words! No one wants to be told what to do, so why tell yourself what to do. A to-do list does just that. Constantly adding to it just adds more pressure on you. But when you create it into a will-do list, you can decide what you can do. Adding to your will-do list doesn’t mean you HAVE to do those tasks right then and there. Instead, focus on 3-5 tasks at a time. Then, time block those tasks to make sure you accomplish what you need to do.

List your achievements every single day.

We tend not to appreciate what we’re doing every day. Women especially run around every day doing so much, so why not appreciate your hard work? At the end of each day, write down just a few things that you did that made you proud that you finished. Taking a moment to reflect on what you were able to accomplish will help relieve the overwhelm.

The 3 Ds – Delete, Delegate, Defer.

If you have too much on your plate, there are three things that you can do with all of those tasks. Tasks that don’t serve you or you don’t get excited about, DELETE them! Tasks not useful for you to do, DELEGATE them and DEFER them to someone else. I teach all the time to put it in the parking lot until you’re ready to come back to it. Wait until you’re prepared to take something on to not feel the responsibility!

Set fixed hours.

There’s always going to be more work to do the very next day, and it’s always going to be there for you. So decide when you are going to work and respect that. When you say that you’re going to show up, but also clock out when the day is done. You need to live your life! Here is an extra pro hack for you – set alarms! I know some people may think that is not time freedom, but it’s your reminder to get things done. Planning it out is absolutely going to have the overwhelm disappear.

It’s time to stop the overwhelm and really crush your goals, Goal Diggers!
