When I look at various followers’ accounts, 90% of the time they have the name of their company listed on their profile page and/or a link to their company website. There are 3 reasons why I believe you need to remove the name of your company from your profile starting today!
The first reason is that when you friend request a prospect or send them a message, the natural thing for them to do is to go check out your profile, right? Well if they see the name of your company, they’re probably going to Google it if they’ve never heard of it. If your company is like most network marketing companies, then there is a strong chance that there are some negative reviews out there, and those tend to be the first in the search results. Not exactly a great first impression.
Second to that, if they are able to go do some research on their own about your product or company, or click the link to your site, then why do they have any motivation to engage with you or build a relationship with you? People buy from those they know, like and trust so you’ll want to do everything you can to get in front of them and get to know them better.
And lastly, having your company name all over the place removes curiosity. I firmly believe in Attraction Marketing and the foundation of these principles is to create curiosity so that your followers and prospects are drawn in to what you have to offer and want to learn more. What this equates to is also removing the name of your company from your posts as well.
