If you’ve dabbled in online marketing or taken a course here or there, you know the name of the game is content. I once heard someone say that the person who puts out the most content is king, and I believe there is a lot of truth to that. Assuming it’s quality information you’re putting out there, here are some ways you can get ahead of your content.
Themes. My first tip for those trying to get a handle on their social media content is to create a daily theme for each day of the week. Some examples are #MotivationalMonday or #TuesdayTestimonial to give you an idea. You can get The Goal Digger Girl’s Social Media Content Calendar to help you put a game plan together. Then on that day, post something that goes with your chosen theme.
Planning. Once you get the hang of posting consistently, work to get ahead of your posting so that you have everything planned out for the next day. I’ve done this with my meal planning for years and it really alleviates the stress and last minute frenzy of trying to figure out what the heck to post! I have a section on my running to-do list of ideas of things I want to post and then each night I choose what I will post on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Scheduling. The last piece of advice is advanced but can literally transform your business and your organizational skills if you are willing to tackle how to use it. I know there are other programs such as Buffer and Hootsuite that you can use to plan and schedule your content, but I’ve recently started using Sked Social and am in love. It can even post on Instagram for you! Here is my referral link if you want to do their trial.
As you can see, it’s not rocket science to get ahead of your content, but it does take some planning, discipline and consistency to see what is or isn’t working for you. Give these tips a try and watch your social media game go to the next level!
I am ready and want this. I need to get ahead of it.
