
Today we are going to discuss the follow up strategy that will get the results in your business that you want! Doing it in a way that feels genuine, authentic and you will not come across as bothersome. We have all been there, where we are not sure if they are ignoring, ghosting or plain busy.
For starters, you probably are not following up enough. Did you know that on average, entrepreneurs do not follow up on 1/3 of their leads! The strategy I will teach you will give you the confidence to follow up appropriately and without constant messaging or spamming or sounding desperate!
Let’s start with the strategy I have used to build my teams. You have been asked about how you are making money online and what you do, so you send your prospect a video to watch. Along with that video, go ahead and let her know that you are going to share how you are automating the whole process and able to build your business around your family. Does not matter if they respond or not. You then IMMEDIATELY get them into a three-way chat with your upline. If your prospect does not respond in the three-way chat, go back into the original message the next day and ask if she saw the three-way chat. If she does not respond, tag her in the three-way chat. If the prospect still never responds and you have no idea if they saw the video or not, send a message. “Hey, I hope you are doing awesome! I sent you a video, not sure if you saw it, I’ve learned not to assume, did you get my message ok?” Usually when they respond back, they feel terrible, they got tied up, and busy and still plan on watching the video. If they still do not respond after these interactions, I would ONLY follow up with a REASON. Such as a sneak peek event or a team phone call they might be interested in listening to.
Following up when you are sharing the product means having a REASON to follow up also. You have done your curiosity post about one of your products and someone messages you and asks you for more information. Go ahead and send them a link for the product. If you have not heard back in a few days I would go back and ask them if they had a chance to check out the link. If you don’t hear back even after that, then follow up when you have a reason that is legitimate… such as a new product release, a flash sale, an online event, or a challenge you may be hosting.
The key to my follow up strategy is ALWAYS have a REASON for follow up.
If you are building your business in the right way, being genuine and authentic, you are going to get a response from your prospects. And if they don’t respond just move on. Some will, some won’t, so what! You need to move on. Let it go. It is nothing that you have done. Approach following up with enthusiasm, excitement, confidence, and consistency… you will get more sales and more customers on your team!
