Making the Shift from Online Marketer to Brand Influencer

Are you ready to make the shift from online marketer to full blown brand influencer? Influencer culture is SO popular right now and we’re seeing more and more online creators popping up on social media. Keep reading to learn how you can elevate your business and make millions with this shift.

Don’t be scared or put off by the use of the term ‘influencer’.  An influencer isn’t just people like The Kardasians or anyone else extremely popular on social media right now. Being an influencer just means you influence someone to make a decision; parents are influencers, siblings and teachers are influencers. A brand influencer is not far out of reach if you already have practice influencing others in your day-to-day life! Making that shift to brand influencer will increase the involvement and interaction with your brand and start making you the money you deserve.

Number 1: Up Your Game

Stop spamming your profile with your product. While that might have worked a few years ago, that is not going to work now. You have to be personable and not just show your product, give information on it. First and foremost, you want people to get to know YOU, not the product. Use the product as an extension of your brand…but don’t build your brand around solely the items you sell.

You also need to stop cold messaging. I know some big companies employ this strategy but that isn’t going to work! It’s not a sustainable method. By cold messaging, you are giving off an impersonal vibe and jeopardizing the goal of making your followers feel important.

To gain attention to your business, you need to serve your ideal avatar and offer them value. Keyword? Value.

If you do this you will see that you will start engaging organically in conversation and that will be your segway into eventually sharing what you do or sell. Never send a link unprovoked.

Establishing a connection with your followers will, in turn, help you influence them to make decisions.

Number 2: Build Up Credibility Through Content

Take a moment to think about what you are about to post and if it has value. Make sure you go live on Facebook, utilize Tiktok, and Instagram Reels. Produce content that you are proud of even if it is as simple as a check in with your followers.

It is crucial that you share information with them. Have you read an interesting article recently about something your ideal avatar would be interested in? Share it. Talk about things your ideal avatar is interested in.

By staying connected and relevant you will build credibility; people do business with people they know, like, and trust.

A good tip you can implement is to ask yourself at the end of the day, did I add value to my audience today? It can be something as simple as sharing a funny meme or an inspirational quote. If you answer “no” at the end of the day then you need to reflect on what you can do in the future to make sure your answer is “yes” every single day.

Number 3: Make The Decision

Mentally, make the decision that this is a real profession, that this is your career! Even if it is just part time or you only have 15 minutes a day to work on it…You need to stop having a ‘hobby mindset’ about your business or side hustle. When you have that mindset that it’s only a hobby you are limiting yourself and won’t put in as much effort. Don’t sell yourself short!

Work on it everyday and give it the importance that it needs to not only survive but thrive.

Stop wasting your time and make the leap. You are worth taking a risk on, so do it. Take that risk and level up Goal Diggers!
