I started blogging back in 2011, and everything I always posted was for my brand “FitKim.” I honestly felt that it was truly a persona for me and I had to come across a certain way on social media. Showing up as the best version of yourself is of course super important, but this was different. It was almost like I was hiding behind my brand.
When I started studying social media and how to build a network marketing business online, I quickly realized I was going to have to become vulnerable and stop holding back. It’s a really strange thing when you make this transition because there can be so much fear around people finding out who the real you is, but at the same time it’s always well-received.
When I started going live on Facebook, that’s when my voice really came out because that’s the best way for people to really get to know you. Words can only take you so far. By opening myself up and just sharing me and what I had to offer, that’s when my business exploded and I’ve gained a loyal following online.
So what about you – what action step could you take today to find your authentic voice and put yourself out there?
