Did you know that less than ⅓ of leads are not followed up on? It’s time to level up your follow-up game and transform your business.

Ask yourself: when it comes to my follow-up game, do I have a follow-up strategy and am I organized with it? The follow-up is everything!!. The biggest struggle I hear from recruiters is that they don’t want to cold message people or they feel like they’re being awkward. Well, the strategies I’m going to show today will help you come up with an organized plan of attack when it comes to connecting with people online.

You should always take the time to create engaging content to interact with your audience. Take the time to make interactive stories, posts, and polls so that your audience has a reason to interact with you in the first place. Then, take it to the DM! Send them a quick message letting them know you saw their comment on your story and use that as a reason to follow-up from a previous conversation. If you don’t have a content strategy, check out Goal Digger University, where I show you how to create and organize scroll-stopping content. Every day you should be putting up great, value-based content: free challenges, free giveaways, etc. so your audience sees your putting yourself out there and offering value.

When you’re sending your follow-ups, you should be asking purposeful and intriguing questions. Make sure you’re loving on your leads, asking them questions, getting to know them, being a mentor and a listener, and stop trying to close them! After you send your follow-up, you need to be capturing their names. Put them anywhere where you can stay organized and follow-up with them when it’s appropriate. Sites I’ve used to capture my leads in the past are Trello, GroupTrack, or an Excel sheet. Lastly, you’re going to put thought behind your follow-up and say to yourself: how could I follow-up with this person in a way that is going to give me permission to reach out? Always make sure you get permission. Then, you can get them into your Facebook group that is value-driven! Remember, you are reaching back out to these leads for a reason.

Let’s say someone doesn’t respond to your last follow-up – what other purposeful questions do you have to ask? Say they don’t end up going for it, that’s okay! You could reach back out whenever appropriate. But stop trying to close everyone you talk to.

If you are looking to transform your business and level-up your strategies, make sure you are offering great content, amazing value and get strategic with your follow-up!
