You’ve probably heard the quote, “Either the day runs you or you run the day.” It may sound cliché but it is so true! If you look at all the successful people in your personal life or even online, they all have control of their days. All of them. This can be a real struggle for entrepreneurs so implement this one tip to get you started in the right direction.
The major shift that has to happen is you need to switch from being reactive to your day versus proactive. Instead of hitting the snooze button every morning and then checking your email as soon as you fire up your cell phone, why not be intentional about what you will work on throughout the day?
What I like to do is have the entire next day planned out before I go to bed. I’m talking what my meal prep looks like, lunches for the girls, gym clothes packed, and yes, everything in my schedule planned out down to 15 minute increments. It might seem Type A but it works, Goal Diggers. It truly does. Don’t I seem pretty productive and happy:)?
To start, set aside time each night after your “day” is done and go through the next day. It does take discipline to begin this habit because you’ll be tired and not want to do it, but do it. Make yourself suck it up and just do it. Even if it’s only 15 minutes extra in your day, it will pay back in productivity and peace of mind tenfold; if not more. Give it a try and let me know how it goes for you!
