How many of you feel there’s not enough time in the day? I know I do! You just wish you could clone yourself. I know many of you want to take your business from part-time to full-time, and if that’s true, you are exactly where I was four or five years ago. So let me teach you exactly what I did to automate my business and get to where I am today!
Automation in your business allows you to grow your side hustle into a full-time gig.
First, I want you to understand what the word automate means. It’s mastering the process and creating a streamlined process. There’s a misnomer out there that people think automation means it’s automatically done. It’s not like you decided to automate your content, and magically all your content is done. Automation doesn’t mean that you’re out of the picture here. You are still driving the business or delegating your tasks to a VA.
The problem that I see with most of you when I’m able to dig into your business is, you are constantly spending your wheels. You are continually reinventing the wheel, or you’re sitting there staring at your phone for 30 minutes because you don’t know what to post. You want to hit that live button, and you don’t have a topic planned. So right before I go live, I pull up my Trello board. I already have my title ready to go, but I have the next three months planned out. And not just there; I have YouTube, the podcast, and all the different things that we have going on all planned out, which allows us to rock it.
I have five of the best ideas to help you automate your business.
Number 1: Content Creation
There’s this amazing software that you can use to plan out your post. You can automatically post pretty much anywhere and even post in your stories. This small little automation can free up time and allow you to get ahead in your content creation. When we get ahead of our content, we can be more intentional with it, our marketing strategy, our overall theme of our content, and really think about how we can serve. Stay at least one week ahead of your content. Ideally, you will want to get a month ahead, and eventually do it quarterly. To start, you need to schedule it. For me, it’s Sunday night where I plan my whole week, or for you it might be Friday before you’re wrapping up the day. If you want to make full-time money, you need to get serious about this.
Number 2: Prospecting
You might be thinking, “How can I automate prospecting? This is something I have to do myself, right?” You can have a VA prospect for you. When a prospect interacts with your content, or you start that initial conversation with a new friend request, you want to think about what happens next. What’s in it for them? They’ve heard the whole spiel of all the things that have been said over the last ten years on social media. Think through what YOUR spiel is. How are you going to set yourself apart?
Start using three-way chats and third-party tools. Of course, we want to do all of that, but that should be automated.
Number 3: Onboard
When I started automating my business, I hit my first six figures in 90 days, and that’s when I brought Anna on board. I was working full time trying to keep my head up above water, and when Anna came on board, I put my notice in six months later. It was all because Anna was doing all kinds of things behind the scenes while I was at work. So when there were two of us working on the business and both of us came in full-time together the next year, we did $250,000. Then I started automating even more things. That’s her favorite thing to figure out – tech that she can automate.
Why is that important? Because it frees up her time. It frees up our time. It frees up MY time. And then we went to make $1.1 million. We went on to build our team, automation, and my network marketing team. I was the number two recruiter globally and reached the top half percent of the company while running a multiple full seven-figure coaching business. And by the way, I work normal hours. All thanks to automation.
I was able to be the number two recruiter in my network marketing business. I share that with you to show you what this has done for my business. When I reached this number, it was great for me, but what does that mean for others? I am always thinking about how I can share my success with others. I’m driven by that. Our team was number two in new business sales, and that means our people are coming on board, all of you on my team, you come on board, you get to work, you do the steps to launch.
You’re hitting rank advancements before your product comes in the mail. That’s my number one goal. So if someone comes in and they follow the system, the majority of the time, they hit that first rank before their product comes, they’re getting cash in their pockets, and then they’re going to stay.
Number 4: Automate your lead gen.
You all know I am a fan of Reels. We’re in the hundreds of thousands of views per month. And with those leads from that, we automate it. How do we automate it? Well, I’ll tell them to text a keyword to project broadcast. It will opt them into a campaign, and they’ll start getting messages from me. Some of you have come into my world and got messages from me. You’ve gotten emails from me. Maybe a video was sent to you, and I never talked to you. Maybe you opted in through a freebie or one of my Facebook communities.
Now you ask, how do you automate your Facebook group of new members coming in? We use this awesome software called Group Track. I have every single member in our groups, which is over 50,000 members. They get added to our group, and then automatically placed into our software.
While automation helps free up your time, it is important to understand the concepts of efficiency and productivity to be able to streamline. It’s all about time blocking, productivity, and balancing everything. So start planning out your days and automate the little tasks, so you can focus on growing your business!
