How many streams of income do you have right now? Do you have a part-time job or a corporate job? You should absolutely be counting those when thinking about your streams of income. So let’s dive deep and pull back the curtain. I’m literally going to walk through WHY the way you’re being taught is not working anymore.
I’ve been in the online marketing space for a long time. What worked 5 years ago is not working anymore because the scene has totally changed. Now, it all starts with a goal. When you start with a goal to focus on this year, it gives your mind a roadmap. It’s not enough to say you want to make more money. It’s not even enough to say you want to become a six-figure earner. Well, how are you going to become a six-figure earner? What exactly will you do to make sure that you are hitting those numbers? That’s where we get into the reverse engineering of it all. We write down our goal of six figures, and then we ask ourselves, “How are we gonna get there?”
It’s time to start thinking like true business owners.
Start with a goal – how many streams of income do you want? Now, this number can go up as time goes on, but we need your first benchmark. So what is your first benchmark on how much money you want to be averaging by the end of this year? Do not make the mistake of thinking how it is almost the end of Q1, and you’re not even close to hitting your goal. You need to be averaging six figures by the end of the year. That’s actually how you gain momentum.
You get more growth in your overall revenue numbers by your averages. Do not look at today to decide what you’re doing in nine months. You can crack the code on something that has a gap in the market tomorrow and realize the value you can put there. How many of you have heard crazy success stories of people who had an idea, launched a business, and it blew up? That could be you! So don’t decide what your December 31st looks like today. You’ve got lots of time to make sure you’re working on growing those streams of revenue and understanding how it all works.
What are you working on now?
Assess what’s working right now and what isn’t working. Let’s just say you’re like me when I worked full time. I was commuting two and a half hours a day and working every Monday night, Wednesday night, and Saturdays. I realized I wanted to grow my online business, but my job was taking up too much time. My situation was not working for me even though it was my safety net and my salary. I realized in order for me to really break free and make a lot of money, I had to replace my income at my job.
Look at your situation right now. Evaluate what you have going on and ask yourself what is working right now in your business and how you are going to get where you want to be?
What are you naturally consuming?
Those are the things you’ve already purchased and use in your everyday life. See if you can become an affiliate. It could be a course you’ve been loving, clothing you just bought, or apps you use every day. You’d be shocked. Reach out to those brands to see if they have an affiliate program. They might have one and you don’t even know it. Why not share naturally what you’re loving and get paid for it.
Check your current skill set.
Have you ever wondered if you could monetize what you are good at? Let’s just say you are sitting here right now, and you are trying to get your network marketing business off the ground. You really want it to work, so you don’t have to go back to your corporate job. Look at your current skill set and see what you can supplement until you can get your passion off the ground. I recommend safely building up on the side until you can realize and test that your passion will work.
What new things are you learning?
What are you investing into yourself? Not just watching free trainings and listening to podcasts. I’m talking about legit investing in yourself just like you would if you were going to college or a trade school. Go learn new strategies and tactics on how to build your business from experienced pros (like me!). This is an investment, so treat yourself as one.
It is time to stop putting your head in the sand and watching others achieve the goals you want to reach. Consider all these tips when building multiple streams of revenue, and you’ll build the dream you have always wanted!
