Go for the Goals: How to Set Yourself Up for Long-Term Success

Did you know? 50% of people who write down their goals make them happen. Let’s identify changes you want to see in your everyday life. If you’re not feeling satisfied in specific areas with different parts of your life, you can’t bring your best self to work every single day. You have to get your mind right in order to crush your goals!

A task that I like to do for reaching my goals is a concept that I’ve been doing for years. Warren Buffet introduced the idea of making a list of ALL of your goals. Short-term, long-term, and anywhere in the middle. Then, define TWO of those goals that you can work on right now. Laser in on these two goals and what you can accomplish in one year. Take a pin and brain dump a ton of goals and ideas, then solidify which two you can work on immediately.

By doing this, I was able to get really focused and break my goals down into attainable steps. This will allow you to get a visual of the timeline you’re working with and how to accomplish your tasks on time. Then, once you accomplish those two to five main goals, you can start on achieving the other goals. Block out the other ideas until you’ve completed your top goals. This might seem tough, but you need to narrow down the action steps you can take to strategically accomplish each goal. It will take some planning but it will 100% be worthwhile.

Don’t overwhelm yourself! The key is to take it goal by goal and make sure you’re putting traction and momentum into the top five goals.

Put your resources and energy into your top-priority goals. Once you get moving and start accomplishing some of your goals, you’ll quickly find you can crush any goal you want to achieve. Go for the GOAL, boss babe!
