Alright, we all know the important role social media plays in our everyday lives – but, how do our personal profiles play a role in our business? Your personal profile, whether it be Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., provide people with information about who you are and what you do. Standing out on social media is a NON-NEGOTIABLE to achieve success in your business.
A recent statistic I’ve been pondering is, organic reach is reaching a maximum of 5% of your audience. People are not seeing your stuff. Our reach on social media has gone down 30% since last year because of the increasing amount of people joining social media as well as a plethora of ad spend that is taking over your feed. If you feel as though your content isn’t being seen, it’s probably not you…we are legit amongst billions of other people.
With those stats in mind, jot down these HOT TIPS I’m going to provide you with to spice up your personal profile to help lead you to more sales.
Tip #1: Your profile picture needs to be ON POINT. You should have a visually appealing photo of yourself (no one else) as your profile photo. Your profile picture is people’s first impressions of you. Over 80% of our followers are on mobile, so make sure you’re in the shot and your picture is inviting and not isolating. Also be sure to have a good FB cover display.
Tip #2: You want your bio to be filled out properly. One of the key elements that is missing on your profile is your Facebook bio. Your bio should be a clear and concise sentence that explains who you are and what you do. Lastly, be SURE to include a CTA (Call-To-Action), whether it be a link to your website, your MLKSHK link, or an invite to your Facebook community, it is pertinent that you have a CTA.
Tip #3: You need to master the basics of scroll-stopping content. If you plan out your content, think it through, and are intentional about it…you will have KILLER results. LIVES of any platform need to be scheduled, outlined, and focused. Facebook recently announced that over 50% of content consumed are now through videos. So be sure to have a creative title, be value-focused, and be ready to deliver to your audience. The other important element to scroll-stopping content are your stories. When someone comes to your stories, they want to know more about you. Make sure you’re using your stories in the right way – include Instagram highlight, thank people who mention you, and take people on a brief, but inviting, journey of your day.
Now that you have these hot tips and tricks on your mind, go implement them on your personal profiles. Once you feel like you mastered your online presence for your personal profile, go make adjustments to any of your business pages. Remember: repetition is how we get better.
