There are many ways to find your ideal avatar online without spamming your timeline with product posts and cold messaging to people you’ve never talked to. Let’s get started with learning how to stop spamming and start engaging!
5 Tactics to Have Conversations & Close More Sales
Go Live on Your Facebook Profile Consistently
I know some of you aren’t doing this and this is one of the best ways to engage with people you are already connected with on Facebook! Why? Because you already have so many Facebook friends – it’s just a matter of getting them to notice what you do. You can either go Live or you can use StreamYard to pre-record your Lives and schedule them. Facebook Lives build up your know-like-trust factor and allow you to engage with your community and answer questions Live. Anyone who is commenting/reacting to your video, friend request them and message them separately.
“Thank you so much for watching my live on XYZ, what inspired you to watch?”
Keep the conversation going with them and offer free resources to support them in their journey. The more time people spend digesting your content and interacting with you, the more credibility you build and the more they trust you.
Ask Questions in Your Posts
One of two things are probably happening with you right now: You’re either not posting/posting inconsistently OR you are posting consistently without asking relevant questions. Every post you have should pose a question. This gives your following an opportunity to respond and you an opportunity to engage with them!
Use the Story Features on Instagram and Facebook
The poll/quiz feature on Instagram helps you gather information from other people. Information that is important for you to have engaging conversations with them.
Homework: I challenge you to post every single day on social media stories using one of the features. It can be about anything but you must include the poll or quiz feature!
Strike Up Conversations with Everyone You Interact With
Do you send out birthday messages ion your Facebook page? If not, start doing so! Once they join in on the conversation, find something that you two have in common and ask them all about it! You should be sending out new friend requests daily! If they accept – strike up a convo! When you get new people into your Facebook group, message them! Ask them why they joined your Facebook community/what they need help on and send them some free resources.
Meet People Inside of Other Facebook Groups
Get into groups that are related to your niche. Don’t get into MLM-y / network marketing groups that accuse people of spamming. That’s not the kind of community you want to surround yourself with. This is important: You want to be in groups that you would be in even if you didn’t sell something. (Mommy groups, health and wellness groups, travel groups, etc.) There are groups for everything!
Hang out in these groups – get the lay of the land – interact with others – then, offer value. This 4-step process is a sure fire way to get you in front of many people and have meaningful conversations!
