How to Set Up Your Opportunity Calls for Success

How to Set Up Your Opportunity Calls for Success

Are you making the most of your opportunity calls? Or as I like to call them, sneak peeks! We cannot do what used to work 5 years ago, 10 years ago, 15 years ago, or even 20 years ago. That’s the dinosaur age when it comes to network marketing and direct sales. Can I get an Amen

We use opportunity calls every month as a conversion event for me and my team. We have never missed a month because they’re that important. So you want to remember to make the most of these opportunity calls. You need to present them so that people will want to come. You can also use them as a follow-up.

They need to be short.

The first thing I recommend that you do to set up your opportunity calls for success is to make sure that they’re short. All of your efforts on social media should be to drive traffic to this very quick conversion event. You want to make a curiosity post about the sneak peek on your wall to make sure people come and know what you are doing. Talk about the business opportunity working with you, getting to mentor with you, and having you as their coach.

Make sure that you give them the option to send you a DM for information if you’re posting on your wall on Facebook or Instagram. If somebody is looking at leaving their company and coming to work with you, they’re not going to want the whole world to necessarily know that. You want to make sure to position it so that they can just check it out, get some information from you, and be excited about what you have.

It’s all about that opportunity, and you want to paint that picture.

It’s really important that you cast the vision for your audience so they can see what it would look like to be involved with you. Create a killer story sequence that paints the picture of what it was like for you before you enrolled with your network marketing company. You can even do this if you’re in the coaching space to show what it was like before, why you had to be a part of it, why you got involved, and then what it has done for you since then.

How has it changed your life? How are you impacting other people?

You want to paint that picture. This is where people really miss the mark because they don’t know how to make their stories actually a story. You have to have multiple slides or multiple images to create a story.

There have been times when I’ve talked about my mom visiting and not spending time with her because I was working my nine to five. There have been times when I talked about missing my baby’s first steps. You have to decide what that looks like for you and what story you are going to share, but craft a story. Show people from your team by throwing a bunch of pictures together and making a cool collage that has music added to it. That way, people can see your sisterhood, your tribe, whatever it is that you’ve got going on. They will be able to envision themselves in your story.

Include CTA’s.

The next thing with your story sequence is, you want to make sure there are multiple opportunities for calls to action. Whether it’s a poll, or an invite to DM you, you’re going to want to have that a few times throughout. That way, they can engage with you, get into messenger and have a conversation.

Use your Facebook group.

I also recommend scheduling your sneak peek opportunity call inside a Facebook group. I teach value-based Facebook groups. So depending on where all of your leads and prospects are, you have to do it somewhere your community is. If you can put an event together in a Facebook group, create a graphic for the event and schedule it, all you have to do is hit that invite button. Then, of course, still message them and extend the invitation to the group members and others. But this is a really easy way to get in front of those people that are already in that group.

It is so magical!

The thing that is so magical about doing an event in a Facebook group is, when you do the sneak peek, instead of having a barrier such as a zoom link and someone having to take an extra step to get in front of you, they’re already there. So the chances of them just jumping on is really high! You’ll get people engaging that maybe wouldn’t otherwise. You can also tag on replay. So you can just put it in the guides, and you can tag members. That way, when you’re talking to someone about your opportunity, you can say, “We just did an info session not too long ago. It was like 15 minutes. Can I tag you on that?” Then tag them right inside the Facebook group.

Those of you having your first-time opportunity call, or if you have one now, download it and save it to your computer and then upload it to YouTube. You can list it as public or unlisted for a YouTube link. Word to the wise, if it’s an unlisted YouTube link, it’s not floating around all over your account. If you don’t want it on your account, but still want people to see it, you can share it with an unlisted YouTube link. YouTube links can be really great to have so you can share the replay of your sneak peek and your opportunity calls.

Make sure to follow up with your people.

You should have everyone on a list of some sort. I have all of mine on Project Broadcast. And I just text out, “Hey everyone! We’ve got a sneak peek! Click here to come be a part of it.” And that way, at least once a month, maybe twice a month, I’m staying in front of them and reminding them that I’m here, staying top of their mind.

You never know, one-day people may realize what they are doing isn’t working and see your story or opportunity call, and say to themselves, “I’d really like to be with her.” So I want you to try these strategies. It’s allowed me to be a top enroller for years, and my team does a really great job as well.
