Through my business, I have the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. On my recent podcast, I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of those amazing people. Her name is Genicca Whitney, and she is an out of this world businesswoman! I’ve had the privilege of watching her blossom and take these quantum leaps of success. So I really wanted to sit down and talk with her so she could share with me some of her secrets.
I got to know her a little bit before we interviewed, and we had a lot in common. We have two young daughters, mompreneurs doing everything from our cell phones, and love being present for our families. But where we differ a bit is that her niche is being a Business and Wealth Activator. Genicca speaks on the topic of wealth creation and manifestation because she came from a world of poverty.
All About Genicca
Genicca was born in the Philippines on bamboo floors and moved to Canada when she was four. Over the years, she realized that her family was supported very much by the government. But, coming from a family with immigrant parents, they were always working and hardly ever around to best support the family. That was her reality. So one of the things that she had a lot of shame around was money.
After she finished high school, Genicca was one of the only people in her friend group that did not have any plans to go to college. If she did, she would be faced with either taking out a loan or saving enough money to put herself into school. So she took a more unconventional route and decided to get a sales job making door-to-door sales. But that is where she learned from two gentlemen who taught her about the law of attraction and the secret that changed her life at that age.
When you are young, you just want to absorb everything. Genicca called herself a student of life at that point in her life. She was willing to learn, especially being on a commission-paying job. Her mentors said that she could create more sales if she used her thoughts and feelings. Using that logic, she went from going door to door, standing on a street corner in downtown Toronto, being rejected 9 out of 10 times, and maybe making about $30 to $80 a day in commission to creating vision boards and making up to $500-$1000 a day in cash. She built a sales team in Canada and moved to open an office for the company in Vancouver on her own. Genicca ended up starting her own business at 20 years old.
Giving Back
Her financial freedom at such a young age allowed her to do the one thing she wanted to do for her parents: give back. Genicca never wanted to leave them with nothing since she was moving across the country. So when they found out her older brother was having his first son at 21, she saved enough money with her brother to buy her parents a home. They got their parents out of a bad living situation, moved them to the suburbs, and Genicca could move away with more peace of mind. That’s when she really started to implement the marketing and the manifestation into her own business.
Genicca really just dove headfirst into entrepreneurship. She broke all the rules, like the traditional way of attending college was the way to create success. She just trusted her intuition and really saw how energy and strategy are the actual keys to success. Genicca wants to teach women the importance of feeling empowered around money and how to become financially independent.
Her story is so impactful, and we can learn a lot from her experience. Genicca’s main mission right now is to get wealth in more women’s hands. It all starts with your relationship with money, and she shares some amazing insight on how to reframe your mindset for wealth creation!
