If you work in social media marketing, you most likely hear the word “optimize” a lot. What does that even mean? Optimizing in social media means to use all of the features offered to display the most information on your profile.
In this blog post, I’m going to show you how to optimize your Instagram profile in a way that helps you attract leads on autopilot. I will show you a few simple hacks and how to utilize all of Instagram’s features so you’re not leaving money on the table.
An Optimized Instagram Profile
People in network marketing, direct sales, coaching/consulting often forget that you can generate leads on auto pilot. It doesn’t need to be a constant hustle and grind. You do need to post on social media every day but if you have a place in you bio where potential leads can go to learn more and sign up for updates on your biz, they’re most likely going to go down that rabbit hole!
So, let’s make sure you have an optimized profile. The strategies I’m going to list below are directed toward Instagram but they’re important to use on all platforms where you’re active.
Make sure to have a link in your bio.
Having a link in your bio gives you more credibility because people are able to visit your website, blog, or other account where you’re active.
The link I would recommend most is featuring a MilkShake, LinkTree, or Search My Social site. That way, when people visit your link, they’re not just sent to your site or your blog but they can choose which social platform of yours they’d like to visit.
How to Fill Out Your Instagram Bio
You should always share who you are, what you do, and how you serve people in your Instagram bio. That allows for people to understand your goal from the get-go. Be sure to include a call-to-action in your bio as well. Don’t just link drop, give them an action step.
Your call-to-action could be “Get my free guide, HERE!” “Watch this video series HERE”. Whatever it is, make sure it’s sexy and attention-grabbing! Get creative!
If you’re in network marketing or direct sales, put something in your bio about working with you! If you’re in coaching, put something in your bio about scheduling a call!
Put all of your important/need-to-know information above the fold. Above the fold is referring to the initial page that they land on without scrolling.
Other ways to optimize your Instagram
Make sure you’re clear on your ideal avatar and follow people from your niche every day! Make sure that the freebie you offer is something that your ideal avatar needs. It must solve a pain point for them. If they sign up for your freebie, they’ll be put into an automatic email sequence!
I hope this was helpful and you learned new ways to optimize your Instagram profile for success!
