People always ask me: If I’m not supposed to post about my business and products all the time, how am I going to get clients and customers? And my answer is: Curiosity Posts.
If you know me, then you know that I am a coach, an affiliate marketer, manage a network marketing business, run customer programs, have membership groups, and own real estate, plus some. I don’t say that to impress you, I say that to impress upon you. The way of the future in social media marketing is learning how to master curiosity posting. And this is how I know…
Through the power of curiosity posting, I’ve maxed out the customer side of the comp plan through my network marketing business. What does that mean? It means that so many of my customers are recurring purchasers that I have completely maxed out the sales for my team. And guess what? If you look at my social media profiles right now, you probably don’t know what company I’m with or what I sell.
What I’m teaching you today is not only going to teach you how to max out the customer side of the comp plan but it will literally teach you how to attract customers to you. So…let’s dive in to one of my favorite social media strategies for online marketers: Curiosity posts.
First things first, we’re going to talk about how to create curiosity. In your content, you are never going to say the name of the product you sell or company you’re with. Read that again: never going to share the name of your product and/or company. Instead, you’re going to talk about a pain point that your ideal avatar may have. Hit on a paint point and focus on a solution. This sounds selfish, but people aren’t going to stop scrolling unless they know that there’s something in it for them. So be sure to write your captions in a way that attracts the attention of on-lookers so they think to themselves, “Oh, I need this!” (If you want to see examples, be sure to grab my FREE eBook!)
Second thing you’re going to do is, drive your conversations to messenger. All of your magic is going to happen in the DMs. When we’re interacting with people on social media platforms, make sure to go into messenger and reach out to say, “I saw that you commented (like, shared, interacted) with my post about this awesome product (or business) I found! Have you tried something like this before?” Basically, just ask them questions relating to the product or topic of the product to get more insight as to why they interacted with your content. By messaging these people and asking them questions, you’re going to qualify them. By “qualify them”, I mean that you’re going to see if they’d be a good fit to purchase your product/service. During your conversation with the prospect, ask yourself: Would my product/service help improve their lives in a direct way? Also, don’t forget, you should NEVER drop a link before you ask questions! You need to ask permission to drop a link for them to purchase something.
Lastly, we’re going to talk about the different types of curiosity posts and when you should be posting them. It is crucial to understand that you should only be posting ONE CURIOSITY POST PER WEEK. Your social media profiles are to be used in a personal manner where you’re offering value, inspiring, sharing your wins, showing you participating in your hobbies, etc. It should not solely be focused on selling your products…no one wants to come onto social media and be sold to.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about the different types of curiosity posts. 🙂
#1 – Direct product posts: These types of posts make it obvious to others that you have a product and you want to share about it. But remember, never share the name of the company or product. (Again, if you’d like examples, grab the free eBook!) These types of posts should only be posted once per month.
#2 – Indirect product posts: These types of posts will be hitting on a pain point of your ideal avatar but does not talk about a specific product.
#3 – Direct business post: This would be where you share your wins with your business (rank advancements, wins in your company, how you finally made enough money to pay for a vacation in cash, etc.)
#4 – Indirect business post: Here, you would talk about the pain points of why people may want to get into business with you. An example would be: “Christmas is right around the corner, if you could have any budget in the world to buy your family Christmas gifts, what would it be?” And when people comment, bring it into messenger!
