Turn Your Workspace into a Girl Boss Empire

The first step to growing your creativity and building your business is to set up an office space that allows for inspiration and focus. Learn how to easily and quickly vamp up your space and get more creative than ever in just a few steps. I’ll show you how I designed my space to make it perfect for my needs and wants.

Add Tools & Decorations that Spark Creativity

Upon walking into my office, you’ll see a dry erase board on the wall. I highly recommend getting a whiteboard in your office for note taking and quick reminders. I have a built-in bookcase, too. This is great for storage and highlighting your space. Design it with photos of things that bring you joy. I found different items from Hobby Lobby, Homegoods, and Target, and most of the design piece was very inexpensive. This creates a good solid background and allows me to express my branding through props and decorations. 🙂

Customize it to Your Liking

I created a custom wall and organized the paneling myself. Something similar could be found on Amazon or Lowe’s. Then, I have a small loveseat that is comfortable for working and great for recording videos!

Of course, I include a small area for my girls and they have their own desk area in the room as well.

My Ring light is also a huge part of my office. I use the Ring diva light! This is super important and useful for creating YouTube content.

When you get to my desk, you’ll see my computer set up includes a double monitor, wireless mouse, and wireless keyboard. The double monitor will change your life especially if you are living the WFH life!

Arrange Your Furniture to Allow for Movement & Creativity

I put my desk in the middle of the room which allows me to be centered in front of my backdrop of the built-in shelving. Putting it in the middle of the room creates a bit more room. I have a webcam and a podcast mic sitting next to the monitors.

On the walls, I have small decorations hanging up and pink curtains. I got a wall decal from Etsy with a quote above my office doors! This is great for inspiring positive energy and setting the tone once you enter the office.

Make it Your Own!

Bottom line, no matter what your office space looks like or includes—you need an office space. Whether it is carving out a place in your bedroom or kitchen, you must find a place to call your own to allow yourself to spark genius and creativity with your work. Once you go to this spot, you are in work mode. Create your own space to communicate to others that you are working and not to be bothered! Make sure you allow yourself to work as efficiently and as relaxed as possible.

Watch yourself level up once you set up a personalized space for your work and for yourself. Grow your business by finding a peaceful and organized place to get stuff done.
