Build Value with a Killer Challenge in Your Facebook Group!

Running a challenge in your Facebook group is a great way to grow your audience, email list, your group or even to open a coaching program.   Anything you would like to build value around.

Challenges require some time to plan.  Determine the theme, how long will you run this challenge for? What are you going to do every day in the challenge?  Are you going to go live every day?  Are you going to have things your audience will be working on every day in the challenge? Homework?  Prizes?   I like to use Trello to organize my challenges. This way I can create a Trello board for each challenge, and I can put my story sequence, the posts I want to use to create curiosity and scripts for inviting.  Trello boards can then easily be shared with your team.

Here are some basics of running a challenge.

#1 – Challenges can run 3, 5 or more days.  I highly recommend that your challenges be no more than 7 – 10 days maximum!  Anything over that can be difficult to keep people engaged.

#2 – Everything you will do for your challenge happens within your Facebook group.  In the video below I will show you step by step how we did a 3 Day Clean Eating Challenge!  First thing is to make an event inside the group just to get people registered so that you can get some RSVP’s and give some basic information about the challenge.  All the posts and lives will happen inside the GROUP.

#3- Announce your challenge!  Do a live video to tell everyone the details of the challenge.  How they can enter the challenge, what is the time frame of the challenge, how to win prizes, what they can win, and what do they have to do to participate.  Plus, share how they can get another entry into the raffle for doing a referral post.  The more details you can give them the better. (be sure to pin this live to the top of the group)

#4 – Give away prizes!  Raffle off product or gift cards.  If I am giving away product or a gift card that is valued at $50, I allow them to order something else of their choice at that value.  Challenges are a non-selling event but if you want to use the raffle prizes as an opportunity to upsell and offer products in your line, that is fine.

#5 – LIVES!  Throughout the challenge it is a great idea to do lives, they are important and get people excited and involved!  You can even share that task with other team members, alternating with one of you doing a live every day.

Remember, your challenge does not have to be perfect! You do not have to know everything; the weather does not have to be perfect! Just go and do it! Learn as you go!

Challenges are a great way to offer value to your audience by having some fun!  They are also a great way to build camaraderie with your team and do some team bonding!

Until next time! Get LIT in your business and set your soul on fire! Did you find this post useful, inspiring?  Save this pin to your Facebook board on Pinterest, and click the buttons below to share with your friends.
