Get Control of Your Business!

Do you struggle with time management like I once did? Are you fumbling to just keep your head above water with all your responsibilities? You want to be in control, have financial freedom and have the success you dream about. You just keep fumbling.

Over the past couple of years, I have built my business to multiple six figures. I do not say that to brag. I say that to encourage you that the following steps I use do work! I work with many women who share their biggest struggle is time management. It is time to take back control and have the confidence to build your business. Today, I am going to teach you to be a productive RockStar!

Time management can be challenging! As entrepreneurs, we are creative and can “squirrel” often. Let’s face it, we have a lot going on. You may be juggling multiple businesses, family, raising kids, and relationships with friends. What I am about to teach you is simple, you just need to have the discipline. Discipline to not go into reaction mode, to not go on auto-pilot and get sucked in to that Facebook feed or TikTok stream.  Understand that time management is a money-making strategy.

I know I needed a clear strategy on how to determine my IPA’s, or Income Producing Activities, so I came up with this acronym – Identify, Prioritize and Act.

Grab a piece of paper and I want you to “brain-dump” on to paper all the activities you that you do every day for your business, or that you need to do. Identify those activities. Get it all out! Doing this helps to clear out all the noise that holds us back. Getting it out on paper gives clarity and direction.

From that “brain-dump” I want you to now prioritize. Go through your list and decide, what makes you money and what does not. Those activites that make you money; prospecting, posting Facebook lives, or setting up 3-way chats, for example. That is your focus. Those activities that are mundane and routine, that do not make you money, but need to get done, these are the activities you need to delegate. Hire a virtual assistant even if for just a few hours a week.

Finally, you must act. Every single day take massive, imperfect action. You will be ok. Whatever fears, whatever doubts you have or lack of confidence – the only way you get comfortable is doing it. Do not get stuck in analysis paralysis. The longer you sit in that space of not doing, the bigger the insecurity will grow. Get in there and get messy, fall down, get back up and grow stronger!

Check out this training I did on the subject:

Prioritizing tasks, while working from home, must be extremely hard these days. Getting stuff done and completing your to-do list is probably taking you longer than expected. This video will give you some simple tips and tricks on how you can crush your to-do list and prioritize your income producing activities.
